You might be surprised to know that I didn’t see any of Laura’s drawings until long after I had written the story. One day my publisher emailed a couple of Laura’s character sketches to me and I was utterly surprised and delighted. I loved her interpretation of my story – some of the pages (especially the scene in the tent) were almost exactly as I had imagined them in my head when I wrote Mine!. She has done an excellent job to complete my story.
